American Soldier slideshow and captions

2  A. The most powerful photo was when Ian is walking right in front of the mural in Iraq, because while Ian looks down the mural has the soldier in all black that has all ashes

B. The most powerful sequence is the Life in Ira, because you can see that Ian looks down the whole time, he's thinking what is he doing in Iraq. In some of the photos most people look like their trying to have fun while there.

C. They arrive at Iraq and see a boy outside of a building, Ian gets a gift in the mail and plays with one of his friends, afterwords he recorded his friend do push ups, he then called his family, he then took a test and received his grade, then he runs outside with his friends smoking, looks at his shirt that his girlfriend gave him, is up at night then he is outside with other people, his sleeping then he is outside guarding, then later he having fun with his friends doing a dog pile on someone, then a dance off, then later on hes is in his room eating a snack and thinking, reading a book,clean up on the field, reading the American news.

3 A.When Ian is usually th emain person the verbs used are often as he doing something never sitting still for a bit with out doing something.

B. It gives information about the photo because i didn't know what they where doing with their feet if the captions weren't on.

4 A.1 On the second photo of Army Blues, Ian Fisher is at a Baseball stadium giving a salute after a national stadium.

2. ON the eleventh photo of Army Blues, Ian is with his brother at their house looking at T.V.

3.On the fourth photo of Life in Iraq, Ian tries to keep  the block from falling while playing his new game with a 1st Lt.

5. A  It enhances the feelings of the characters like Ian how he felt.

B. A video can provide the person with their thoughts and emotions like in the "1st day and 2nd thoughts" Ian had a 2nd thought about his decision he has made and but he gave it a second chance during the video and started to get used he started to get used to it.

C.  A photo can provide depth and make it have a deeper meaning toward it  like when Ian walks in front of the mural and it shows the soldiers look on what Iraq did while they are over there so they will never forget on what  Iraq did on 9/11

The face of Mohamed is being repeated it catches the eye by all the different sizes and all the people around them using them as protest banners.

Lisa Simpson is being screen shot on a plane with all the people looking at the movie at the same time. It shows great depth in the photo because it shows the front and then all the images goes back and get smaller.

Doe-Eyed
Lisa Simpson appears on television screens on a new Singapore Airlines Airbus A380 after its inaugural passenger flight from Singapore to Sydney, Australia.

The photographer used the rule of thirds. It made the child standout of the background and made him the center of attention while there is a soldier behind him. The light that shine on the boy made him more deeper that he was in the dark until the soldier came and shined the light on him while he cried.

I picked this photo because of the continent in it. The child inside the photo is crying because he was left all alone in the dark and the soldier shined light on him to realize he was covered with blood. The soldier head doesn't show but i assumed he is shocked.

The photographer used balancing elements, and the rule of thirds. This photo is perfectly balanced because of the large smoking coming out of the ground and all the small people on the side made  this shot balance, and the smoke is in the bottom right corner making it the center of attention while all the people in the side look at the smoke that comes out.

I picked this photo because of the photo, because the color of tone the photo is taken and give off emotion of sorrow that oiled that could of been in use is now burning. All the pollution from the gas covered clouds covers the sun making it almost seen in here.All the smoke being inhaled by the spectators of the ground trying to see all the oil being burned.

Funny Captions

We found this is at Texas but we know that it is recycling at it's best. This recycled computer used as a mail box was a clever idea for the  Johnson's who thought of using their old computer who gave up working for them not to long ago, they needed an a new mailbox they thought to themselves.

We where driving by the forest when we saw this, a tree used as passageway. Long ago this tree fell, people couldn't move it because of it's size so they decided to cut an opening, pretty good idea don't you think?

Walking on the beach of California on the west coast we saw a man with out his head. David  was berried and Charles was right next to him, Charles moved slightly and his head wasn't  showing so i took the shot at the perfect timing.

Marlboro Marine

A. He used narration  of Miller to make the video and Photos more deep into the viewer  mind, to start to think how a man can put with what he did

B. The affect was to get a deeper meaning with miller narrating. getting to see what he sees


A The most powerful image was when he's smoking his cigarette when he's at war.


B. The sequence that was powerful was when after miller dropped out of the program, because it shows that he couldn't handle life any more and that he wanted to be alone .


C. It shows the deeper meaning of the photo how a man can live through the photo and how he can comprehend with it

D.They show the feeling and view he had while miller is talking and the way they are placed are helping him tell his story of how he feels and how he he acted

i found it interesting because it's bmxer grinding downtown. Some of my friends BMXed, so i got a little interested.

What makes this photo powerful is all the sea's reflection of the sun, going from day to night, and showing the sun set making the water turn from orange to dark blue .It shows the lighting of the sun going down and light from the water shining, reflecting the sun.The horizon is perfectly in  the middle, and all the way ion the background you can see land.

Great Black and White Photographers part 3

While i was passing through the photos. I came up and saw Dorothea Lange's photos,
what i saw was the sadness in her photos you can see the despair of her photos

In this photo, I feel the tears that run down by my shoulders. I hear only the cries of the children. I smell the gas and oil flowing below the truck. I taste saliva waiting to leave.I see the other immigrants leaving with us.

In this photo, I see myself waiting for the truck to take me away. I feel agonized that I'm being evacuated . I could smell the dirt on the ground, the winds picks it up and throws it at my face. I taste the dirt . I hear other people waiting on the streets waiting to be evacuated, same as me.

my ideas on sharing  Dorethea to the world is by making a mural of her work on a build board downtown.
making posters around downtown and putting a photo from hers and a website telli9ng about her story and her photos. I would make a website dedicated to her.

The best story

In this photo, I see the story that a young student is trying to study the bones of humans, for a class she had to take home a replica of the body and is studying the joints of the skeleton.

 Action and emotion.

I chose this photo for the best emotion and action because of the what he is doing. He is trying to pour a chemical into another beaker. He is very focus making sure that the liquid wont spill over the and making sure that it goes smooth and not pour it around the beaker.

 Filling the frame

i chose this as the best frame, because of the bridge that they are looking down on. The bridge really frames this photo, it makes it more interesting by the kids that are looking down on it to see what over the bridge.
