1st sentence: Ian is working on his papers, writing doing his answers so he can get a good grade, in his classroom while having a few minutes left in class.

2nd sentence:
Ian is working on his assignment that he has to turn in class because it's due the next time he has that class. He was trying to not get distracted and turn in his work that he ignore other students.
